This year’s gathering was especially significant as 2025 marks the 75th anniversary of Pathfinders in the North American Division. Since Michigan began Pathfinders in 1950, the conference has held approximately 59 camporees, apart from union and international events.
Throughout the weekend, Pathfinders camped with their clubs, shared meals, and joined together in worship on Sabbath. Pastor Eric Christianson, of the Hillsdale and Prattville churches, served as speaker, challenging young people to grow in their faith and discipleship.
The Camporee also celebrated leadership development, with 69 Pathfinders honored as first-year TLTs (Teen Leadership Training), contributing to the 141 active TLTs in Michigan. A highlight of the weekend was the range of team-based activities designed to build friendships and cooperation, including a club scavenger hunt, canoe-carry obstacle course, head basketball challenge, tractor tire flip, human spider web, human knot untie, and the annual class-based tug of war between the guys and girls.
The mission of the Camporee remains clear: Develop Friendships. Build Teamwork. Disciple for Christ. Through worship, service, and shared experience, the Michigan Pathfinder Camporee continues to fulfill this mission year after year.
