BALTIMORE, MARYLAND—An army of young people are preparing to assemble at the Baltimore Convention Center from December 27 – 31, 2006 for the fifth annual General Youth Conference. This year’s theme is “By Every Word.” Contemporary philosophies are attempting to discredit God’s inspired Word. To counter this attack, Seventh-day Adventists are called to make all of God’s Word their foundation in every area of life. We must do all things “by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God” (Matt. 4:4).
At GYC 2006, attendees will hear speakers such as David Asscherick, director of ARISE, an evangelism training school in Troy, Michigan; David Gates, missionary pilot from South America; CD Brooks, former director of Breath of Life; and Jeffrey Rosario, evangelist for Radiant Living. Participants will also choose from an array of seminar topics, like “Biblical Foundation of the SDA Church,” “Biblical Relationships,” and “The Bible and Social Issues.”
